The 'Townscape Appraisal for Petaling Street Exhibition' (TAPSE) is a Taylor's University event conducted as part of the Architectural Design V module for the Bachelor of Science in Architecture programme, in collaboration with the Liveable Urban Communities Impact Lab. The event primarily focuses on community engagement exercises between students and the public in order to directly and indirectly educate the public and local community about the 'character' and 'identity' of place in the Petaling Street area as a result of their Townscape Appraisal exercise. TAPSE features include an exhibition of student work and a series of public talks given by specialists in architecture and urban design. TAPSE is also working with the Malaysian Urban Design Association (PEREKABANDAR), ThinkCity, DBKL, and Central Market. Welcome to the latest urban talk series, where we bring you exciting news about a collaboration between Taylor's University Livable Urban Communities Impact Lab, led by Dr. Veronica Ng, and the Malaysian Urban Design Association, represented by Dr. Shuhana Shamsuddin. A memorandum of understanding between the Malaysian Urban Design Association (PEREKABANDAR) and the Indonesian Institute of Urban Designers (IARKI) will be signed on the 29th of July at Taylors University Lakeside Campus. The gist of the memorandum focuses on the aspirations of both parties in fostering a close collaboration as strategic partners in this region and at the international level
