PEREKABANDAR appoints Dato' Kamal Ariffin Zaharin as New Advisor

PEREKABANDAR President, Dr Shuhana Shamsuddin, announced that YBhg. Dato' Kamal Ariffin Zaharin will serve the organization as its New Advisor beginning 1st October 2022. Dato' Kamal will be joining our current Advisors, YBhg. Dato' TPr. Dr Dolbani Mijan and Dr Ahmad Bashri Sulaiman.
"We believe that YBhg. Dato' Kamal's extensive work experiences gathered via international collaboration with a network of new urbanist planners and architects would catapult PEREKABANDAR into a new dimension." Dr Shuhana said.
"As a young society, we focused on establishing ourselves as a champion of good urban design practices in Malaysia. Simultaneously, we want to raise awareness of the significance of urban design and to correct the perception of urban design as only embellishment and aesthetics of locations during place creation activities.
We are optimistic our vision of reclaiming the character of Malaysian cities, having better-designed cities in Malaysia, will become a reality."
