Nurul Azreen Azlan

Dr Nurul Azreen Azlan is an NUS Fellow at the Asia Research Institute (ARI), National University of Singapore. She completed her PhD in Urbanism at the Technology University of Delft, Netherlands, where she investigated the spaces of protest in post-colonial Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Azreen is interested in spatial justice, from the politics around the production of space to the availability of space for people to participate in public life. At ARI she is examining the socio-spatial impact of the Penang South Island Reclamation project on the coastal community in the area.
