Norhafizah Abdul Rahman

Norhafizah is an Associate Professor at the Department of Built Environment Studies and Technology, College of Built Environment of the Universiti Teknologi MARA Perak. She received her PhD in Architecture (Social Science) in 2014 from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. Her research focuses on urban design, specifically urban innovations and initiatives, user-friendly urban environments, urban street design and environment-behaviour study. She is a registered member of PEREKABANDAR (Malaysian Urban Design Association), an NGO and interest group society with the mission of being the voice that champions good urban design practice in the country. Norhafizah is also a professional member of the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT) and AMER (Association of Malaysian Environment-Behaviour Researchers). She teaches and supervises courses and research on Landscape Architecture, Urban Design and Architecture, Human Behaviour Studies, Urban Innovation and Initiatives, and Street Design for undergraduate and postgraduate students. She participated in many research projects financed by the Research Acculturation Collaborative Effort (RACE) Research Grant, Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS), Academic & Research Assimilation (ARAS) Research Grant, Research Acculturation Grant Scheme (RAGS) and Institute of Research, Development and Commercialisation (IRDC) Research Grant. She is involved with several consultation urban design projects appointed by agencies in Malaysia. She currently serves as Head of the Department of Built Environment Studies and Technology at the College of Built Environment in Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Perak.
