Izham Abdul Ghani

Ts. Dr Izham Abdul Ghani is a Senior Lecturer at the Program of Landscape Architecture, Department of Built Environment Studies and Technology; College of Built Environment, Universiti Teknologi MARA in Perak, Malaysia. He graduated from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Johor, with a Diploma in Architecture in 1999 and a Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture (Hons.) in 2002, and later earned a Master of Science in Digital Architecture from Newcastle University, UK in 2004. He earned a PhD in 2017 from Multimedia University Malaysia, specialising in architectural virtual reality. Within the field of digital architecture, he has successfully published books and articles in international academic journals, presented papers at international conferences, and secured research grants from government ministries and agencies. His research focuses on the relationship between virtual presence and sense of place in virtual environments and the understanding of architectural space and place in virtual reality. He is currently a Professional Technologist, awarded by the Malaysian Board of Technologists (MBOT) and an active reviewer for several local and international indexed journals, including the Journal of Virtual Reality, published by Springer.
